2,000,000,000
2 Billion
Dear Friends,
Two
billion represents the number of people that will go hungry this year
worldwide, and it is astounding.
We at
4-Hearts know that we cannot change the world, but with your help we can
make an impact on our small piece of it.
You have
been amazing in all our past endeavors and we are faithful that you will
just as giving with the one we are planning now.
Picture
for a second your holiday dinner. Imagine the items you have
on your table, with family & friends gathered around. You make a
list, go to the store, buy what you need, and with a little effort in
the kitchen produce a wonderful meal for your family to enjoy. You may
get stressed because of lack of time, family, visitors, cleaning your
house, or a "to-do list a mile long". But having this meal is so
easily taken for granted that you don't consider not having one.
We are asking you to help families in our area experience the same holiday joy. Our current event is to provide a complete holiday meal to families in need. We have contacted several organizations and places of worship to get a list of families that without outside assistance, will not have a meal to put on their table this holiday season. We will be putting together both Christmas and Hanukkah dinners. With your help we are going to be delivering a holiday dinner with all the trimmings and the pan to roast it in to these families in need.
This is
going be a little different from food drives we have had in the past as
we are requesting "specific items". We are going to try to keep
this as simple as possible. Below is a list of items
needed.
The list will be on our web site as well, and we would ask you to check
the website
www.4-Hearts.org
prior to your contribution to see that the item
is still needed. If we receive a lot of cranberries for example,
we will take it off the list and leave on the items still in need. We
are also for the first time asking for cash to buy the main dish.
The reason for this is we have no way to store donated turkeys, and will
be purchasing them the day before delivery.

yourselves to forward this email on to your friends and neighbors so
they can assist us in this project.
Our drop of boxes will be
out starting the 30th

Should
you know of a family in need, please contact us so that we can do what
we can to help.
